mobile homeReply: Brenda
I noticed two male juveniles and one male adult hanging around the gate the day before the mobile home was moved in on Gavilan.  The adult pretended to be fixing the yellow sign when I drove by.  I didn't get a good look at the truck or get a license number (never thought they'd dump a trailer) but the truck was an older model dark colored pickup.  Possibly this is the same mobile home that was across from the nursery (that one was on blocks a few weeks ago and is no longer there, plus the debris around it has been raked into a pile.)

Thumbs UpReply: JB
I almost choked on my coffee when I read the last post title.

Thank you to all who put in the effort to try to maintain some semblance of peace and order around here.  It does not go unnoticed.

It never ceases to amaze me, the level of disrespect and blatant disregard for the law, some people will display.

I have witnessed, first hand, a neighbor who, when adjoining property owners have fenced and repaired, countless times, an opening into a large field next to us... take his bolt cutters and walk out to the newly closed area, and reopen it!!! Within an hour of it being closed!

Some people think they are above the law.  I can guarantee you , he would be the first to condemn a person doing the same thing to HIS fence.

Anyway... keep up the good work everyone!!!

Gavilan Road TrailerReply: JB
I saw Code Enforcement there at the site of the trailer on Gavilan Road, this afternoon (parked at the entrance gate with lights flashing).

Any new news on the upcoming church or rehab ? lol  **I wonder if it is the same people who were supposed to start a church on the opposite side of Gavilan Road , across from near Ideleona (probably 12 yrs ago now)

El SobranteReply: Tonette
Hubby says that particular travel trailer has nice tires on it. Chances are it's not abandoned, just maybe a breakdown.

SpookyReply: Tonette
You know what bothers me about the Harford activity? Outsiders just assume no one cares what happens in a wilderness area. We care! We love our home and outs a shame others think they can just do something like this and think no one will notice. Also, I would hate to see someone having a campfire there and burn down the park! Those plants! Unthinkable!

I am going to be more observant. Reply: Elizabeth

Sean thank you for the information   I am going to pay more attention  Can't believe how blindly I have been driving on Mockingbird and only noticed the trailer there this morning

UpdateReply: sean k
There was a very detailed facebook post on Monday regarding the situation down at the wash and private road on Gavilan. Many residents went down there and gathered license plate numbers, called the code enforcement and even the sheriff. The sheriff went down there as well as code enforcement but we do not know what is going on exactly. The was the trailer at the entrance, then a uhaul with a sketchy looking trailer that was about 100yards or so further back there. That seems to still be there. Someone should call code enforcement and get an update.

The trailer on Mockingbird and El Sobrante has been there since Sunday night. Its crazy how in a weekend so much trash and dumping can take place so brazenly.

Did they move to Mockingbird & El Sobrante?Reply: Elizabeth
I saw a white old trailer near Mockingbird and El Sobrante this morning around 645am  It wasn't there last night or earlier in the morning  It appears similar to the one on the pic

Squatters?Reply: JB
I saw this the other day, as well.   I do NOT get a good feeling from this activity.  I witness probably 10 people or more, clearing the brush/vegetation (like a mini work crew) behind where the trailer was initially placed.    Guess that was being done in order to hide themselves a bit more  (as if that trailer didn't stick out like a sore thumb).

Clearly some shaky 'business' brewing.

Thanks for looking into this and keeping us updated.

Potential Homeless Camp or Cook House in Harford Springs Park?Post: Nathan
Just an FYI to all that are not aware as of yet. For your own safety I just thought you should all be aware of this. This weekend, I drove by Harford Park and saw a mobile home dumped just off the road. After notifying code enforcement as well as the County and Sherrif I decided to go and get photos again as I was told some campers and others were there too. When I went back yesterday the mobile had been moved back off the road further so you could not see it. The code enforcement officer was there and spoke to those onsite. 2 camper trucks and this house. They stated they were going to start a church and a rehab house.

Now I am not a detective but I certainly was not born yesterday. Not only is the fence destroy to get in here, this area is not zoned for this and clearly this structure is not up to code. I can only imagine what is really going to go on here. Code said they will contact the property owner and hopefully the County will take this one seriously as it is directly adjacent to a County park used by many people.

I just want you all to know and maybe for now stay away from that area. I certainly will not be walking my kids through the park again anytime soon.
