First AmericanReply: Jean
We have First American Specialty Insurance Company and we pay $803 per annum.  Our house is slightly less than 2000 sq ft and it sits on almost 5 acres.  If you are interested, contact ProMax Insurance Agency in Corona at  951-371-6007.

Fire station movedReply: GratefulGrandma
My husband and I just checked and the new fire station is 2/10 of a mile farther.  I don't understand why our insurance rates are skyrocketing for 2/10 of a mile.  Not to mention now we have to pay a yearly service charge to the fire department.  It makes no sense to me.

Yes - classification is changedReply: Lisa
The fire department moved further was the reason they gave me. Anyway cancelled by Allstate and the second rate company they write with wouldn't take it either. I went with AAA but they do a site inspection and everything has to be in good shape and brush clearance a minimum of 100'. I have houses behind me now so they approved it. It's more than I was paying but not near what Farmers quoted. Good luck.

Homeowners InsurancePost: GratefulGrandma
I just discovered my homeowners insurance went up $1000.00 per year.  I called and they explained because the fire department changed the rating of our area from a 4 to a 10.  I'm not sure what that means, except its costly.  Has anyone else had this problem?  Just wondering.
