Call for zip code support- secretary's direct phone ~Reply: Willow
I called the number:  1(858)674-0301  And reached a lady named "Christine".  She was very nice but didn't seem to know anything about this subject.  She took my name and phone number and said she would relay the message for me.

Zip Code Phone Number, PLEASE CALL!!Reply: Nathan
Hugh,
Thank you so much for the clarification. You are right the second number is the one we want. I got these numbers directly from the USPS site and they are the numbers to the district office of Larry Munoz. He is the one we have placed our request with. The lady that answered would not put me through to him as she stated he told her to tell me to call consumer affairs. Good to know they just want to push us away and it will make it more impactual when we all call. If you get a chance, PLEASE call the (858) 674-0417. This is his office. Here are a few suggestions below.

Call (858) 674-0417 ask for Larry Munoz
When told to call the consumer affairs line, voice your approval of the UNIQUE zip code.
Ask for the ladies name, this will let her know we are keeping record of our phone calls and them turning us away.

No need to call consumer affairs as they will just give you the run around. Let's let them know we want this.

Hugh, thank you again for your assistance in this matter and for clarifying the issue for us all. As per your link, it does make our case for our eligibility of a UNIQUE zip code.

Zip Code SupportReply: Hugh
Not sure why we're calling San Diego. However, I dialed both numbers. The first, 858-674-0419 just rang and rang and rang and rang.... The other number, 858-674-0417 led to some woman's voice mail referring to another number, 858-674-0400. I called that number as well. Very nice person answered the phone ( she lives in Temecula) and we spoke for four of five minutes - but it's not the number to "bash" calls to.

As I've mentioned time after time, and this lady (the one I refer to above), states that we, meaning our community, is not eligible for a UNIQUE ZIP code. We don't meet the definition. Could we please cease in referring to it as such?

Zip Code support callsReply: Mary
Excellent idea Nathan!  I encourage all to call and call again.  It does work very well with our elected officials.  You know the old saying...the squeaky wheel gets the grease.  If they don't hear from you they don't know how important this issue is to our community!

CALL for zip code support!Post: Nathan
All,
As you all know by know, we have submitted our official request for our own unique zip code. We have recieved the certified mail reciept showing that it has been recieved. I thought it might be a good idea and that it may help our cause if we flooded the USPS office with phone calls in support of the zip code effort. Though it is not an act of congress, I do know when we flood our elected officials offices with phone calls, it seems to get things done. I am not sure if it will do a thing, but we thought it might help the cause. If you get a moment and can call and voice your support for the zip code change, that would be wonderful. The phone numbers below are the two numbers I could find for the local office. I am not sure if this is a direct line or if you need to dial an extension etc. If anyone discovers otherwise, please update this post. Thanks in advance for any phone support you can give.

Larry Munoz (San Diego District Manager)

P.S. You should see your USPS survey's coming in the mail soon so keep an eye out as they will need to be filled out and returned. Thanks again for all of the support.
