AllianceReply: Lisa
First fill was 1.99 and free year of tank rental. Tank rental after first year $69. I just refilled and it was $2.39. They are very nice and professional and they have a budget pay plan after the first year so I pay a set amount every month and call them when I need a fill. Sometimes they call to see if I need any because they have a driver in the area. They are fine with the dogs running around. To be honest my experience with All State's office staff (not Justin, he is very polite) was not pleasant. Good luck it is an ongoing issue..............

Lisa, what kind of prices do you get from Alliance?

Tank RemovalReply: Lisa
I switched to Alliance some time ago - Pedley does not charge for tank removal - they own the tank.

Pedley Tank RemovalReply: Hugh
They'll have a hard time collecting. That's all I know.

Sounds great so far, but will Pedley charge you for taking the old tank out?

All State Propane Update IIReply: Hugh
They did what they said they would do. Here's the thing - by law a propane tank can only be transported with a maximum of 15 gallons of gas. Such was the case with the new tank All State set on my property yesterday. Dave, the owner, said Justin would be out tomorrow (today, Friday) to fill up the tank. Justin did indeed show up to fill the tank.

And, like everyone else I've dealt with so far, Justin presented a professional, courteous example of himself and All State Propane.

The only question I have is: "What took me so long to make the change?"

All State Propane UpdateReply: Hugh
I'm done with Pedley. There was a change with All State - instead of a temporary 25 gal tank they delivered a new 250 gal one yesterday. Dave, the owner made the delivery - said he likes to meet new customers and make sure all is as described. And assistant arrived as well and they moved the old Pedley tank and put their new one in place, hooked it up, tested everything, all in about 45 minutes. These guys seem to be 'the real deal' and want to earn our business - not just get it.

Correction: Propane pricing is NOT regulated - it's controlled by availability, demand and market. My error.

They have a cool referral program too - 20 free gallons for each new customer you refer. So, if someone else hasn't asked - if you call them and decide to become a new customer tell them Hugh referred you.

PROPANE - All StateReply: Hugh
Re: All State Propane - I have not met Justin (714-403-5105), only talked on telephone. He seems great, gives you all the info, straight up with no hype.

We rented tank from Pedley. Same thing with All State ($69.99 yr). Minimum propane purchase is 100 gallons to get decent price. Smaller amounts at higher rate. They have a great referral program for existing customers (20 gallons free) - so, "Here's my sales pitch" tell Justin Hugh sent you. Then you do the same, using your name.

Cool thing: All State can't get a large (250 gal) tank out until next week but they are going to bring a temp. 25 gallon one to get us started. Can't ask for much more.

propane changeReply: Tonette
Hugh, did you already own your tank? If not, did the new company provide? Did Pedley charge for taking theirs out?

OK. I did it. Cancelled with Pedley Propane (after 17 years) and went with All State - Justin @ 714-403-5105. Tell him Hugh sent you - I'll get free gas for the referral. New customer rate for minimum (100 gallons) is $1.89 gal. Thereafter is just $2.39 (can change depending on market requirements - just like gasoline - propane is regulated).

When I called Pedley to cancel service they didn't even ask why. Just said OK. What does that tell you?
