Future Speakers and MembershipReply: Nathan
Willow,
Thank you for your kind words. You can become a member in one of 2 ways. You can download the new membership form or membership renewel form and send them to our mailing address along with your check. Or, you can do it online via PayPal if that is easiest for you. You must donate under the General Fund category and you must specify it is for annual membership upon checkout. You will then be sent a membership form to fill out. I hope this helps.

As far as Buster and staff, they are invited to our Holiday Potluck and we hope to see them there. They will always be invited to community gatherings as well as an open invitation to all meetings. I have a feeling we will still be seeing them often.

Re: Great SuggestionReply: Willow
Thank you, Nathan.

And btw, congratulations on your new responsibility with your elected position.  I have been intending to officially pay up and join RAGLM.  How do I go about doing that?  Any easy way?

Also, with any of our gatherings, I sure would like to see Bob and Mary Buster, and Debbie Walsh, and Sandy and others who have served us so exceedingly well so far receive warm and un-refusable invitations.  I so much do not want to lose contact with these extraordinary individuals.  They have been such strong contributive forces in our community for so long.....please, let's  not lose them now.

Great SuggestionReply: Nathan
This is a great suggestion for a speaker. RAGLM has already considered having him come to address the community, we were waiting to see if his nomination was verified before we did so. We currently are having our Holiday Potluck in December and I believe we have a speaker set for January already (Larry Ward - Tax Assessor). However, we will see if we can line it up for February.

Thanks for the suggestions, please keep them coming as we love to hear from the community on who they wish to hear from.

Having Jeffries Speak To CommunityReply: Willow
Cindy, this is an EXCELLENT suggestion!  I support this completely, and think it is critically imperative to get this done now.

Having Jeffries Speak To Community About His Plans As SupervisorPost: Cindy Ferry
Will RAGLM be setting up a time when Jefferies will address this rural community and tell us of his plans while in office and what he will and will not be doing for this area?  I'd like to know his stand and plans for our area and to have him on the record as such.  We will need it, if we want a chance at holding him to it.  What size zoning is he willing to allow out here?  What kinds of commercial in the "Rural Commercial" area is he going to allow? How much business is he going to approve/allow along Cajalco Rd? How is he going to address "habitat" that is set aside in "perpetuity" and then developers and the county decide it is no longer needed and try to develop it? Higher density housing is brought in as a trade for setting aside "habitat areas" and yet the trade later just turns into building on that very same area set aside in TRADE FOR higher density within the project area itself. The community then ends up with much higher density than the area was zoned for and become the foot in the door to all the other developers. How will Jefferie's protect the rural zoning and all that "RURAL" means? Woodcrest still has many of it's "rural" residents but, even they will tell you that their area has very much been changed from what it was to have been and what was traded for keeping it "rural." I've heard what he was going to do for Riverside County and what he would do for District 1. Now I want him on record, before this community, telling us what he will and will not do.
