Bedbug Infestation/Dirty or Clean, You Could Have Them - Bring Them HomePost: Cindy Ferry

We have a bedbug infestation in the United States now. Hotels can't seem to contain them and apartment complexes are finding themselves in the same situation. This brings us to the private home and town homes and such. They too are now finding this bug to be a real pest. They say them come home in luggage, on clothes and even in your electronic equipment ... laptop, travel alarm clock and so on. Killing them has been real problem for the none chemical companies and the pesticide chemical companies. So, when this article came up in my new section of AOL today, I had to stop and take a look at it. The association we belong to for rental property owners says this has gotten to be such a problem now that they have an addendum to the rental contract just to address bedbugs. It says that you are renting them a bedbug free property and if they bring bed bugs in, they will pay to clear the problem up. This isn't saying the tenant is dirty. The WAY in which we live has NOTHING to do with it. It's a bug and does what bugs do, go where their food source is. If you pick one up in your travels, you can bring it home and set up a breeding ground for them in your home. So, I thought I'd share this with you as a head-up kind of thing. I can live with a lot, but the thought of bugs in my bed isn't one of them! LOL ... if I get a grain of sand in the bed I'm pulling the blankets down and brushing the bed down.
I'm one that tends to have reactions from bug bites, so stuff like this gets my attention.
