Do You Think We Have Enough Fast Food Restaurants in Riverside?Post: Cindy Ferry
I knew we had a lot, but this surprised me. Maybe some will think this is fine, but I think it's too many and too many of the same restaurants, too close together. This idea in the General Plan that they have to put everything right there, right under our nose and close enough so that we will hopefully walk to it rather than drive also means squeezing us into very high density housing as well. This means air so think you can see and taste it. How is that anywhere near healthy? How come they keep telling us we need to stop eating this stuff and then keep putting four of them on every street corner? Maybe if they didn't permit so many of them we would eat better, become more health and start doing more cooking at home. I wouldn't mind seeing a community like this ... Greater Lake Mathews ... 74.5 sq. miles with one, maybe two SIT-DOWN, family restaurants ... with a check to see what kind of restaurant the community wanted. I don't want to see FAST-FOOD come into this community. In my personal opinion, fast-food is as close as I want to see it and I'll vote to keep it there and no further into the rural areas of Riverside County.
