Cell TowerReply: Nick G
I live across the street from the tower and it is currently being run by a diesel generator (you can hear it). A truck comes up about every other day to refill the generator. I would assume it is in operation but I do not have Verizon. The cell tower guys said they were moving Verizon to the second tier (second down from the top) and supposedly another carrier was going on the top (where it costs more). I think it was AT&T, but I don't remember, it's been a few months now.

Nothing Yet?Reply: BillB
Is this Cell tower on-line yet? I have Verizon and still can't get cell service here. Any word when it will be working?

almostReply: Livinthedream
As of Nov 11, there is no power going to the tower that I can tell  and none of my 4g cell phones respond  at my home to it yet. I am still getting signal from my personal mini home transponder  I bought from Verizon for $300. I get great service in my house until I walk down my driveway ( past 50 ft away from home ) and I lose all bars on signal. I should "ping" off the cell tower 500 ft above my home on Rocky Bluff but becuz I am not, I think it is not connected with any cell company yet. Vista shows no sub lease with cell company for it either. I think its in the "build it and they will come" phase still.

Verizon trouble ticket response - need 4g phone Reply: Karen
Thought some would like to know that Verizon returned our call in regards to our cell phones not working with the new cell tower while others were. Their response was that the tower is a 4g tower and only 4g phones will work with it.

Can you hear me now ???Reply: Pat
This Cell tower is indeed great news  A few years back we had Nextel service and suddenly the signal level increased to 5 bars and all was good until Sprint bought them out.  Bye bye cell service and the only cell phones that work rarely is ATT and you have to lick one finger and point to the moon to connect

Verizon update Reply: Karen
You are supposed to update your Verizon phone by calling *228 then option 2 Yes I know of two different households where their Verizon phones work. My iPad works with it however my cell phones do not so we have a trouble ticket open. I even confirmed my iPad was working with it because I turned our at home " cell phone booster off" and WIFI and it was working. ( my iPad had its own Verizon number and account to work off of Verizon cell sites not just wifi) I dont work for Verizon or the cell site company so I can't confirm the technicalities of power going to the site etc but people's phones are working off of it YES . There are known issues with Verizon iPhones not automatically recognizing new cell towers or working with the *228 option. I read about it in the " Apple forums" you need to call Verizon .

So is it working or not???   The power was off on Thursday and my husbands cell didn't get any bars   Will there be any other towers going up?

It works for some Reply: Karen
I can see the tower from my house. I watched them build it and put the finishing tree touches on. I found out over the holiday weekend my neighbors Verizon phones have been working off of it for weeks . My iPad which has a Verizon account / number recognizes and uses it but my husbands and my iPhone 4s will not. We have trouble tickets open with Verizon .

Great newsReply: Livinthedream
I live near the base of the new tower and got the letter from the city of Riverside about the public hearing they held  re: the proposed land on Rocky Bluff being leased for a Verizon Wireless cell site, back in April 2014.

The tower was worked on feverishly for weeks and it looks complete. No power to it that I can see, as of this week, but as soon as I get better cell service on my piece of peace out here, I will let all know.

Great news also about using the 92570 as Lake Mathews vs Perris Ca . Always felt since the lake (reservoir)is 4 miles to the 15 miles to Perris downtown makes more sense. Thanks for sharing that info

cell tower appearenceReply: Michael D
Based on the link to vistatowers.net, I think that they will look like pine trees rather than palms. Monopine. The fake plants that don't fit in always seem harder to look at then just having an unadorned metal tower. Guess I have to give them credit for trying to blend in....

Cell towerReply: Brenda

The only carrier currently under contract is Verizon

cell coverage...not so fast!Reply: Michael D
Don't change your cell service until vistatowers.net announces who is leasing the tower. Someone should check with them...they wouldn't build without having some commitment already...

New Cell SiteReply: Brenda

Here is the info on the new cell site  It's a third party that is building it they would then get ATT, Verizon, Sprint to lease on their site

New comm towers on Rocky BluffPost: Nathan
Just wanted to inform everyone about the new towers going in up on Rocky Bluff. I do not live off of this road so I did not receive any initial notice. A local resident was kind enough to share this information with us. They are up there now with their excavator etc. Looks like it will be AT&T and Verizon as well as some other antennas. The public hearing was back in May but again I never received notice as I believe only the immediate residents did. There will be two towers and they will look like palm trees to the best of my knowledge. Just an FYI.
