Yoga for SeniorsReply: Sandy
How about Yoga for seniors? I am too old and out of shape for zumba, pilaties and all those exercises for the younger kids but would love a yoga class.  Just another thought to throw into the mix -- Weight Watchers to get us older ones into shape and then we join the classes for zumba, pilaties, etc.!!

Exercise classes for adults would be nice. That's where I would cast my vote.

Classes for SeniorsReply: Gayle Geer
Self-Defense sounds great, as well as exercise classes for those with and those without disabilities.

I would be thrilled if there were early morning (till 10am?) or Weekend classes at the Community Center.
Please keep us informed if anything like this happens. How exciting! Something useful close to home.

another good class to consider is "self defense"...for able bodied and for seniors and or disabled as well as a children's class.

classes at community centerReply: Teacher Jen
I agree that classes should be at different times during the week but also on Saturdays.  I would like to see Zumba classes!

Making good community use of the community room ~Reply: Willow
I would like to donate an in tune piano and bench to the room, and hold children's theatre workshop meeting in there for the families of the community.  There would be brainstorming, concept creation, script writing, artistic creations, set design, lighting, music writing, all kinds of aspects to the projects that would be educational, bring the families and community  together, and keep the kids involved in productive activities.

ClassesReply: Lisa
A couple times a week usually and at different times so accessible for everyone. I have friends who go down to a community center (not sure where) twice a week for line dancing. I do think most instructors what to be paid so they would set the price for the classes usually based on participation. $20 bucks for 6 classes is normal.

Classes at the Community RoomReply: Nathan
These are great ideas guys, thanks. Please keep them coming. Forgive my ignorance as I really do need to take classes like this, I unfortunately do not so I am unaware of how they work. Are they usually on weekends or evenings, which would work best for everyone. Also, maybe we can get someone who can teach multiple classes to fit for everyone. I will pass this info on but please keep it coming. I will keep all of you posted if this moves forward. Thanks for the feedback.

Classes at our Community Center?Post: Nathan
Some have asked to use the community room for special classes such as work out classes etc. I have been asked by the supervisors office to see if there is a need for such classes. They would like to help us create such classes but want to see if there is a need for something like that first.

Please let us know if you are interested in potentially taking some sort of workout class or any type of class so we can pass on the info.

If you are interested, please tell us what type of classes you might like to see etc. I will pass on the info A.S.A.P.

You can post it here or contact us directly.
