Foreign powersReply: ComputerTech
If the USA were to be banned from participating in the United Nations, then the USA would not have to abide by any gun laws created by the UN, right?
The US Constitution would remain "the law of the land" and residents of the USA would retain their rights.

I do respect and follow the Bill of Rights. However, it is not that important to me. I place my trust and faith in the Ten Commandments, The Word of God and Jesus Christ. All Governments will fail because they are being run by flawed, sinful people who have a propensity for Evil. Focusing on "Man - Made Laws" is futile and ever changing. God has never changed. "This too shall Pass!"

Bill of RightsReply: BillB
Gee Hugh, aren't the bill of rights just suggestions and not actual laws as are the latter amendments? At least that is what Mr. Obama would like us to believe.

Our Bill of RightsReply: Hugh
I'm not sure how to make it more clear: The original Bill of Rights that was ratified in 1791 contained amendments 1-10 to the Constitution. This IS what is considered our Bill of Rights.

Since that ratification of the 10 amendments there have been numerous other amendments. Amendment 11 coming in 1795 and the last amendment, 27 was ratified in 1992.

Being that amendment 11 was not ratified until four years after the original Bill of Rights, it and the following amendments are not considered part of the unique Bill of Rights. They are amendments to the Constitution.

Bill of Rights IIReply: Hugh
The original Bill of Rights ratified Constitutional Amendments ONE thru TEN. Period. Since that time there have been additional amendments to the Constitution as you pointed out. HOWEVER, they are not part of the initially adopted Bill of Rights of 1791. The following links will provide correct information as to the "actual" Bill of Rights and what they comprise.

Scary Times? I suppose that you also know that there are Amendments 11-27 for the Bill of Rights. Probably not! Scary!

United States Bill of RightsReply: Hugh
The video posted by Nathan, although a spoof played on ignorant Americans, is indeed scary stuff. Most people can't tell you what the Bill of Rights represent. The Bill of Rights was ratified in 1791 and represented the Constitutional Amendments 1-10.

*Freedom of Speech, Religion and the Press; *Right to Bear Arms; Housing of soldiers; Search and arrest warrants; Rights in criminal cases; Rights to a fair trial; Rights in civil cases; Bails, fines and punishments; *Rights retained by the people; *Powers retained by the states and the people;

Obama, who some consider our President - I'm not one of them - is well on his way to the destruction of the Bill of Rights. *He has decimated nearly half of them already.

Another threat to our freedom, some of our own Senators :(Reply: Paula Vice
I cut and pasted this, hope it shows ok. :)
I guess their oath to defend the Constitution doesn't mean much to them.
Traitors (46 of them)
Over the weekend, we came four votes away from the United States Senate giving our Constitutional rights over to the United Nations. In a 53-46 vote, the senate narrowly passed a measure that will stop the United States from entering into the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty.   The Statement of Purpose from the bill read:
To uphold Second Amendment rights and prevent the United States from entering into the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty. The U.N. Small Arms Treaty, which has been championed by the Obama Administration, would have effectively placed a global ban on the import and export of small firearms. The ban would have affected all private gun owners in the U.S. , and had language that would have implemented an international gun registry on all private guns and ammo.  Astonishingly, 46 of our United States Senators were willing to give away our Constitutional rights to a foreign power.

People this needs to go viral. These Senators voted to let the UN take our guns. They need to lose the election. We have been betrayed.

No education requiredReply: BillB
Nathan, I think you don't properly understand the situation. The only education these 11 million newly minted citizens need to learn is how to spell D-E-M-O-C-R-A-T and how to connect the bar on a ballot wherever that word is. Anything else is irrelevant. Even the RINOs understand that.

Greatest Threat to Our FreedomsPost: Nathan
I know I have said it before but this may very well be the most shocking video I have ever seen. An uneducated mass can be swayed to do anything, hence the reason we live in a Republic with laws and not a Democracy. Our founders knew this about the populous and specifically created a Republic for that reason. If you were not aware of that, PLEASE PLEASE educate yourself before it is too late.

Just thought I would share. Citizens signing a petition to give up their own rights apparently they do not even know they have. This is why amnesty is a scary thing, the path to citizenship requires you to learn these things, who do you think it will benefit when 11 mil. people have the right to vote and no clue what their rights are? Scary times.
