A MUST Read/Battle escalates-mega-warehouses & rural communities/DangerPost: Cindy Ferry
See, I have been telling you guys/gals and telling you, We were told some 7 or more years ago, in a private meeting with those planning Riverside's future that Riversides March Air Force Base was going to be the second largest transit hub in the United States. This showing it all coming together for them. But, what happens to our rural way of life and the health of ourselves and our children. Read this and learn more.
RAGLM joined with others, when they tried to bring the "Mid County Parkway/Freeway" through our rural community, and hired a law firm. Some months after the County of Riverside received a letter from that law firm, the "Parkway ... really a FREEWAY" was taken off the table. Even many on the Board of Supervisors felt their own Roads Dept. had the transportation needs under control and didn't need the State and Federal Government putting a freeway through the Greater Lake Mathews Rural Community. But ... don't go feeling all relaxed and thinking it's a done deal and there's nothing to worry about. It could come back onto the table. We, as a community, together need to stand firm and strong and have legal consul if needed. It worked for us before and it can work for us again. We are NOT alone. We are just one of the many and together, we gain the strength needed to direct the future or our rural way of life in Riverside County. Give to the RAGLM Legal Fund to help protect your investment in this, your home! Become a member of RAGLM ($20 year) to ensure we always have a voice this county recognizes and must hear. The RAGLM Legal Fund is used ONLY for legal issues, not for supplies and other such needs of the group. Your membership dues pay for the signs and refreshments at the community meetings and so on.
This months RAGLM Community Meeting is on the General Plan. If you think it's just "A Plan" you need to attend and find out just what is REALLY planned for Riversides future and the changes being made to our area and all of Riverside. Mark your calendar for Wed. Nov. 16, 7 p.m. at the new meeting room, at the new fire station on El Sobrante. Some say "It takes a village." I say, "It takes a community." It takes ALL OF US. Don't sit back thinking someone else is going to take care of it for you. One person can't do this. It will take the many to form the unity needed to protect our way of life.
