"Where Is Your Head?" In the sand?Reply: Hugh
Yes, I agree. Having your head in the sand is the best way for the 'low information' individual - very little reality and truth has to be acknowledged and dealt with. However, that makes for really big problems for those that are concerned and do choose to keep informed.

I view the change by Nathan to add Political forum headings as a good move...  but then in some ways I'm not so sure. I'll bet that some of the 'anti-politics in the General forum individuals' will take a "secret" sneak-peek just to see what's going on over here. But, if they don't, they will surely be part of the "head in the sand" group.

Government bashing can be a good thing when it is necessary to protect the Constitution. And, under this current administration, it is mandatory. They are doing everything in their power to destroy the concepts of the greatest document, aside from the Bible, ever created.

TruthReply: retiredbobby0
I read some politics but get tired of the same old stuff! Important point- "Your Truth is not necessarily my truth!" Just because you have an opinion about a subject matter doesn't you can just spout off and expect everyone to agree with you. Besides, if you really think that you will change things, "How's it working for you? Probably not too well! Politics is a dead end street. There is no joy or everlasting success in politics because "Humans" are involved in it and as such you get diverse opinions all the time. Besides, when you face the inevitable (passing away) , within a few years after that event, most living people will say about you is "???? who!" Re-examine your "Truth" as if you only had 2 months to live. What would you do or say?

Head in the sand doesn't workReply: BillB
Hugh, I put my head in the sand once and all I saw was darkness, then some government official came by and kicked my rear because it was still sticking out. Moral: You are most vulnerable with your head in the sand.

The Few vs the ManyPost: Hugh
I see, just like everything else these days, the "few" have more control than the "many." Rather disappointing. It's the liberals way, they must control everything - it's the 'nanny-syndrome'  - a couple people whine because they lack any self-control about what they read regarding political issues (truths) they don't agree with and then everyone else has to accommodate them. Just like the ostrich they stick their heads in the sand instead of facing reality.
