Yes, Lisa rocks!  She welcomed our family a few years ago when we moved in.  She explained how the service worked in a rural area, but we all know she goes above and beyond the minimum.  Thanks Lisa, in this time of shrinking budgets, you are one of the Government workers who really earns my gratitude, you are a gem!

Yes Anne-Lisa has always gone the extra mile for us.   Aren't we so lucky (spoiled) to have her?

Wow, we live on the other end of Descanso. We try to get our mail soon after it arrives. Also, Lisa said she checks boxes for outgoing mail, so if I put anything out (not checks, because we do all bill paying online from our bank) I don't put the flag up. Also, you can leave a note in your box to have Lisa come up to get any sensitive mail or packages.

Mail thefts / mailbox smashing in Lake Mathews Estates area this morningPost: Laurie
I just talked to a resident who wanted to get the word out - the mail thieves are at it again.   There are smashed mail boxes in the Lake Mathews Estates area of Descanso/Oakdale this morning, and mail scattered on the ground.

Be careful about leaving your mail in your box for any length of time;  and especially careful if you are expecting financial information or checks/payments.   Also, be very careful about leaving outgoing mail/bills with checks in them in your box.   Report any suspicious activity such as vehicles (other than your carrier's) at/near mailboxes, driving slow at, or hesitating near mailboxes, etc.   Get a description of the people/vehicles, a license plate number if possible - even a photo.

This incident was reported to the post office and the post office
told the resident that they were placing a police report as well.
